"Thank You, Mrs. Sanger" -By Anna Neumas Many hundreds of thousands of Americans paid homage to the anniversary of
Margaret Sangers founding organization this past month. Her "wonderful"
achievements for womankind were bellowed from the spires of many of our National
schools podiums and state capitol. The legacy that Mrs. Sanger left the women of
America changed the place, duties, and perception of women forever. This article is
dedicated to all the women in Christiandom and hopefully we can show the philosophies of
Mrs. Sanger, her influence, and her life. She led royalty and Presidents and now today,
her views and life-style has been emulated by the majority of women in America.
First, we need to make it very clear that we not confuse the very feminine and encouraging Mrs. Margaret Sangster, with the notorious and adulterous Mrs. Margaret Sanger. Mrs. Sangster wrote lovely articles for the women of her day regarding the training of children in the Lord and the making of Christian homes. Sangster is to Sanger as white is to black! Who is Margaret Sanger? Margaret Sanger was born on September 14, 1879, the sixth of eleven children, in small Corning, New York. Her father was Michael Higgins, an Irish Catholic immigrant who was a socialist and Agnostic. Regardless of her fathers beliefs, Margaret held to the Catholic faith and in order to escape from the life of a very poor girl married into money. Williams Sanger was an architect with a very promising firm. Her doting husband sent her off on expensive vacations and she lived the life of the very, very wealthy with servants and jewels and extravagant entertainments. She was not satisfied. She gave birth to two boys and a girl but she quickly abandoned them to nannies as Margaret found that she had no inclination for domestic duties at all. She was looking for something.... William became involved in Communist, Socialist and Anarchist meetings and Margaret started attending out of boredom. She soon transferred her passion for clothing and expensive trinkets to the excitement of anarchy... spiritual and governmental. She became rabid. Her energies went towards Socialism and she wrote for a Party newspaper, The Call. What enticed Margaret to the Socialist Party was that this was the only political department of this time to fight for womens suffrage, sexual liberation, feminism and birth control. She became involved with Emma Goldman who made her living selling pamphlets on liberated sex and contraception and by selling the Anarchist magazine Mother Earth. Emmas influence upon Margaret was compounding. Margaret decided that she would throw off all bonds of Christianity and told William that no longer would she hold the marriage bed as sacred. The tables turned on William. He was saddened and distressed but only too late. Margaret believed that free adultery was normal and chastity was abnormal. She became very popular and spoke all over the world in a brash and explicit manner regarding the "joys of the flesh" as she called it. She compared the "joys of the flesh" regarding men for her as common as a decision as which chocolate topping would she choose for her ice cream. And she wished to propagate this idea. She started up a newspaper called the Woman Rebel with the slogan "No Gods! No Masters!" This publication wrote many, many articles denouncing marriage, sexual purity being "obscene prudery", the right for women to be lazy, the right to be an unmarried mother, the right to destroy, the right to love, articles on contraception and articles on the right for political assassinations. There were some upstanding citizens in America who were against what Margaret was doing. They felt that such licentious and lewd material was wrong and they passed a law called the Comstock Law to close mail and material such as this. These people wished to see Margaret in jail. But Margaret had the backing of the devil and soon fled safely to England where she came under the influence of Thomas Malthus.... one of the major leaders in the philosophy of population control. They reasoned and figured in their head the plan to stop the masses from regenerating because the world would soon be overpopulated. Their mathematical equations were proven false, but the world was ready for such nonsense and it thrived. Now Margarets beliefs of "free love" were simply based on her desire to do what she "felt" as the moment led with no rules and no mores to obstruct her. They had no basis of credibility. Joined together with Malthusianism, over-population, and her belief in birth control and free love, would give the world just a hint of respectability under the mirage of doing something good for it! While working on this new plan in England her bordoir became a gathering place for all the free-thinking radicals of the rich such as Arnold Bennett, H. G. Wells, George Bernard Shaw, to mention a few. But the most influential man to come was Havelock Ellis. He wrote over 50 books on sexual perversion and eroticism and because of his wealth and position in England was able to make his pornographic material acceptable to many of the upper elite of society. Margaret was enraptured. She had found her soul mate... Now fully equipped with all the instruments and intellectual firepower needed, Margaret was headed home. Mission.... America! Implementing her money and using her influence shed recently learned of controlling the masses, she first was able to get all charges against her dropped. Then she went on a speaking tour which drew hundreds of thousands of women. Next she opened a clinic. Not any old clinic, mind you... But one which would change the world. At first it wasnt successful, but she knew the power of the press and started another magazine, The Birth Control Review. She used her intimate associates she had cultivated in England and writers such as Harry Emmerson Fosdick, H. G. Wells, Pearl Buck, and of course, Havelock Ellis to give her respectability. And, it did.... Margaret soon divorced her husband and even though she didnt believe in the institution of marriage married a millionaire that did. She made sure that she would have in the marriage agreement that she could continue her choice of "friends" and with that safely under her belt she began spending his money. Margaret, now considered a "respectable" intellectual elite, solicited massive grants from the Rockefellers, the Fords and many others. She went to Washington and with her bulging purse strings bought public opinion and lobbyists to sway the masses even more. On the side, Margaret was closely intimate with the scientists and theorist who instituted Nazi Germanys "race purification" program. Euthanasia, sterilization (vasectomies and tubaligations), abortion and infanticide programs were among the many that Margaret Sanger publicly allied with the Nazis. Dr. Ernst Rudin himself, the president himself of the Nazi Medical Experimentation regime, wrote in her Birth Control Review. When it became public what the Nazis were doing, Margaret detached herself and innocently protested that she knew nothing! Margarets teachings and beliefs are now taught as gospel in all of Americas educational system. Each school has its own form of sexual education program and the majority of them are taught directly under her organization. And so, dearest ones, will you stand with the rest of our society and applaud Mrs. Sanger for her worth and values that she has brought to us today? Will you thank her for her hard work and dedication to poor womens plight? Will you pay homage to the anniversary of her world renown clinics?... And for those of you who are not familiar with these clinics, they are known throughout the United States as "Planned Parenthood".... This is a sample of the articles found in Crowned With Silver.
